French Horn
The french horn is made of brass. If you stretched out the tubes into one long tube, it would be about 4 meters long! The french horn only has three keys to be pressed. The mouthpiece is very small, but the french horn has a very wide range of notes. It can go from playing very low notes to very high!

Trumpet
The trumpet is made of brass. It like the french horn has three keys or 'valves' which are pressed to make different notes! There is also a 'piccolo trumpet' which is about half the size of a trumpet, but it can play very high notes. This is similar to the flute and the piccolo!

Trombone
The trombone is similar to the trumpet. But it is much longer, and uses a slide to change notes. The trombone makes a very big and 'broad' sound. There is a handle which you may notice near the mouthpiece. This moves the slide back and forth to play different notes. There are no buttons on the trombone! |

Euphonium
The Euphonium is pitched in the key of B♭. It's made of brass and has three visible valves like the trumpet. You may notice though that there is a fourth valve. Can you see it? It's on the side of the euphonium!

TUBA
The Tuba is the largest brass instrument. It looks like a euphonium but bigger. The tuba can play the lowest notes out of all the brass instruments! It only has 3 valves unlike the euphonium which has four. |
